I was educated at Stonyhurst College from the age of 11 till I left school. It is a Jesuit boarding school situated in Lancashire, England.

My College days were spent at Queen Mary College, London University. There I studied Nuclear Engineering.  My Final Year Project was titled:
Solutions of the diffusion equation in cones and wedges by
E. M. Rodriguez Ventura, M. M. R. Williams and J. Wood
It was published in the specialist journal Annals of Nuclear Energy, Volume 15, Issue 4, 1988, Pages 191-199 .

After spending some time at Imperial College doing research in "Inertial Confinement Nuclear Fusion", I took up a job at Otis Elevator Plc as a design Engineer.

From there I took a radical turn in my life and trained as a secondary teacher of Maths at the London Institute of Education. On graduation, Janine and I decided to return to Las Palmas, were we both worked at International Schools, mine being The American School of Las Palmas, where I worked up the year 1999-2000.

After taking a refresher course in CATIA - the engineeding design program used by most European Car and Aircraft Manufacturers - I am now working in this discipline. My first contract was in Germany and just to give you an idea of what is involved, here are a few screenshots.

My main hobby is Karate. I train in the traditional Shotokan with Dojo1 in Las Palmas

My favourite composer is

"Bach, Johann Sebastian Bach, Johann Sebastian (b. March 21, 1685, Eisenach, Thuringia, Ernestine Saxon Duchies--d. July 28, 1750, Leipzig), composer of the Baroque era, the most celebrated member of a large family of northern German musicians. Though he was considered old-fashioned in his lifetime and his works were neglected after his death, Bach was recognized in the 19th century as one of the greatest composers of the Western world, a preeminence that has continued undiminished in the 20th century."

Other members of my family also have their own web pages:

In May 2001 I became a member of the Glia Society -   - an organisation exclusively for the "above 150 IQ" members - that is one in a thousand of the unselected population.
